ALPS® Prosthetic Lubricant is used to make it easier to put on a thigh prosthesis when you use a gel or silicone liner. It does not leave a sticky feeling.

The lubricant is also essential when using liners without an outer fabric layer — it prevents the silicone or gel material from sticking when the liner is rolled on.

  • ALPS® Prosthetic Lubricant — helps with liner placement when putting on a prosthesis. Removes the sticky feeling when donning the prosthesis and is recommended for use with all liners.
  • Directions for use:
    Some prosthetic liners are made without a fabric outer cover attached to the gel or silicone surface. If you use a liner without a fabric cover, a spray prosthetic lubricant must be used so the outer surface of the liner can slide easily when rolling the liner on. Turn the liner inside out, spray a moderate amount (2–3 sprays) of prosthetic lubricant onto the outer surface of the liner. Then roll the liner onto the residual limb and fit the prosthesis. If you use more than 3 sprays, it may be useful to keep a towel handy.
  • List of ingredients:
    Contains 70% isopropyl alcohol for fast evaporation. Isopropyl Alcohol, Water, Dimethicone Copolyol.
  • Storage conditions:
    Store the Alps Prosthetic Lubricant spray bottle in a cool, dry place.
  • Warnings and precautions:
    Contains isopropyl alcohol: if you use isopropyl alcohol as a lubricant, make sure it does not remain between the liner and the skin. This may cause skin irritation. For external use only. Highly flammable — keep away from fire or flame.
