Social Insurance Board benefit
Who is eligible?
- Children under 18 with a specialist medical certificate or an assigned disability
- 16–17-year-olds with partial or no work ability
- Working-age persons with partial or no work ability, or an assigned disability
- Persons of old-age pension age
Benefit rates from the device reference price
- For children under 18 with a disability or partial/no work ability, the state reimburses 90%
- For children under 18 without an assigned disability, the state reimburses 50%
- For 18–26-year-old students with a disability or partial/no work ability, who are of working age
the state benefit is 90%

For working-age persons with partial or no work ability and old-age pensioners, the state benefit is 40–90% depending on the specific device

For subsistence benefit recipients, the state reimburses 95%
With the state benefit you can order limb prostheses (functional and cosmetic) and spare parts from us.
To receive a state-funded assistive device you need:
- A paper medical certificate stating the need for the specific device (the activity group must be indicated)
- To obtain the certificate, contact:
a family doctor, general practitioner, resident doctor, specialist, or a rehabilitation team.

A digital prescription is not accepted as an assistive-device certificate.

Health Insurance Fund (Haigekassa) benefit
Who is eligible?
The Health Insurance Fund reimburses insured persons 90% of the reference price based on a medical device card (digital prescription):
- Post-operative and post-trauma insoles
- Insoles for a patient with severe structural damage of the pelvic region or lower limb, or resulting joint, bone or muscle dysfunction, together with pain in daily walking or ulcers, where mass-produced insoles are not indicated or have proved ineffective.
With the Health Insurance Fund benefit you can order custom orthopaedic insoles from us.
To receive the benefit you need:
- A medical device card (digital prescription) issued by the treating doctor (family doctor, surgeon, orthopaedist, etc.)
